The goal of the UN is the creation of a single world government, the consequences of which would be devastating for both Americas and for American individually. Loss of national sovereignty under any global regime would reduce the United States to a dependant fiefdom, unable tp exercise its authority independently in military, legal, judicial, financial, or social affairs. Individually, Americans would become "global citizens" under the FINAL authority of this global government. The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution would become irrelevant, along with the individual, God-given rights they proclaim and protect.
The UN Charter is based not on principles of freedom and limited government but on socialism, which assumes that all human problems must be solved by the power of government planning, disguised as "collective action." Socialism in all its forms is dagerous to the liberty and well being of anyone that loves freedom...
just something to think about.

thank you...that is all.

I'm really always amazed by how Americans only think of Americans and their "freedoms", yet give no thought as to the freedom of the rest of the world. How can you be free, when the cost of YOUR freedom is the freedom of other countries? You speak of "God-given" rights as if Jesus was American and he only cared for Americans.

If you've ever wondered why the rest of the world seems to hate America these days it's that reason. "Patriotism" to you seems equivalent to being as selfish as possible. Under the excuse of protecting your liberties you are yourself depriving other people of THEIR liberties. It's like you're saying "who cares if a tyrannical dictator remains in power in a third world country, as long as that dictator is friendly to the US, the UN should not intervene."

Don't get me wrong, I love the US. But it seems more and more these days, they are turning into the very countries they claim not to be. These days the cry of "America!" has the same ominous tones for those who are not American as "For Mother Russia!" once did.

YOU have become the global regime. And the rest of the world are your fiefs.

When you say Americans I hope you're not saying all of us collectively as though we have one single thought.

No, I definitely don't. My brother-in-law is American. But the growth of the ultra-right wing ultranationalists in the US these days is frightening. Because there is one thing totalitarian states have in common - they are all extremely nationalistic. From the Nazis to North Korea. All of it began with ultranationalism.

So, the world should unite under the US, with all its rights and liberties etc. ?

Can we put the world capitol in New York?

Speaks more than perhaps you let on here. The US has, throughout history, refused to sign many of the UNs most basic declarations including the right to education, health care, freedom from persecution, anti-torture bills, etc, etc, etc. Nice job and the first I have seen of this kind.
